1. Prepare Tools and Materials

  • Cotton or tissue
  • Acetone
  • Nail buffer
  • Nail clippers, scissors & cuticle pusher
  • Basecoat & Topcoat
  • Gel polish (Gel polish is the best choice among other types of nail polish. Besides providing better color results, nail polish is also more durable)
  • UV light lamp

2. Clean The Nails

For nails that are still remaining dirt from previous nail polish can be cleaned with acetone liquid. Simply by pouring a little on the cotton and then rub gently to the surface of the nail to clean.

If you have used nail gel polish before, then the nails should be wrapped in aluminum foil together with cotton and acetone, then let stand for 5-10 minutes.

3. Spruce Up The Shape of The Nails

When the nails grow, there may be some parts that grow unevenly or may break. Cut and file your nails using a nail buffer to give the desired shape (usually oval or square) and smooth and flat on the edge of the nail.

4. Clean The Cuticles

Clean the cuticles or dead skin cells on the outside and edges of the nails. Apply a little lotion or cream on the outer skin area of the nail, then let stand for a moment. Push the cuticle slowly and cut / pull using a scissor and cuticle pusher. Please be careful, don’t let your skin peel off or cut too deep. CLICK!

5. Apply Base Coat

Apply a 1 layer base coat, dry with a UV light lamp approximately 30 – 60 seconds. It helps the polish stick to your nail more easily. A base coat also creates a barrier that helps protect your nails from the damaging effects of nail polish. It prevents staining and peeling, and it will give your polished nails a more even texture.

6. Apply Nail Gel Polish

Apply nail gel polish 3 layers one at a time (thin). For every layer, dry using a UV light for at least 60 seconds.

Repeat the process.

Do not forget to clean nail gel polish that may stick around the skin outside the nails before drying.

7. Apply Top Coat

In the last step, apply a 1 layer top coat, dry with a UV light lamp approximately 30 – 60 seconds

This topcoat will give a shiny impression on the nails and make nail polish last longer.

Topcoats can also help block UV rays from damaging color, protecting it from water and other things your hands regularly touch.
